This week was transfers! Elder Labrada and I are staying together for at least one more!!! Its going to be great because we can work together for the entire transfer without sickness or him having to leave the area for weeks at a time.
This week was THE hardest working week of the mission we have had in terms of numbers. At the start of the week we set high goals and we went hunting to accomplish that. We have so many people that were teaching that even if we wanted to sit down and take a break we couldn´t. Its great how we run house to house and just help people feel the spirit.
One day this´past week we didn´t know who to visit. We said a quick prayer and a name popped into my head. As we were knocking on that persons door this girl came up to us and ask if we could visit her family. Without hesitation we said `
`If we have time we will stop by´´(gotta play hard to get at times) Then someone came to the door that we were knocking, the Mom of the person that we looking for came to the door and said she wasn´t home. We started to chat it up. she ended up letting us in and she loved our message. We marked another day to return.
After that lesson we ran over the house of the girl who talked to us and it was full of people. They are awesome to say the least. They were the most reverent people iv ever taught. Raising there hands to ask a question. Completely focus on what we were teaching. They said that the entire story of Joseph Smith makes sense. The only problem is they are super active in there church. They visit there church 4 times a week. Its going to take alot of work for them but it will be worth it because its one of Gods families.
Its crazy how through prayer God will always respond. Within 10 minutes he had put 7 people in our path, he literally sent the girl to talk to us. I live for these tender mercies.
This work isn´t easy because we have so many people to teach and its impossible to give each of them the attention that they need to progress. So sadly were going to having to let go more than half of the people we are teaching because if there not read, praying or going to church we can´t use our time with them. There is just to many people that are needing our message right now.
I know I'm here in Brasil not to serve a mission but because I have a mission. A mission spread the gospel with every person and the help those who have a desire to follow Jesus Christ be baptized.
Time and life is to short to think about what we should have done yesterday or dreaming about what we want for the future. Its about what we are going to do right now to make the big differences in life.
Another transfer in the Palmas. Can´t wait to see how it turns out!!!

February 15, 2015- Ups and Downs!
UPS AND DOWNS
This week was a roller coaster ride to say the least. I felt like we had hit the highest moment and also felt like we were spiraling out of control to the lowest. 2 weeks ago we thought we had everything locked up, in the bag, packed up and ready to go ( what ever way you like to look at something that you THINK will happen for certain.)
One of the saddest things iv figured out on the mission is how people change there desires when it comes to acting. For example this one family that we love was super excited to hear our messages. The spirit was there really strongly and without hesitation they accepted a date to be baptised. They said that what we are teaching is true and that The Book of Mormon is true. We were exited beyond belief. But, as they are started to learn more about the Gospel there started to get less active. There testimony of the stuff we were teaching never changed, they know that this things are of God. But, they were holding on tightly to the things of the world.
We tried, and tried to help them understand that by living the gospel they could have eternal happiness, but sadly they weren´t willing to follow Jesus Christ. My heart was broken to stay the least. My comp told me its all good and that at the next appointment would be better.
We went to another house were this girl that we were teaching loved our messages and was preparing to get baptism. when we arrived the Mom answer the door and said, I don´t what you guys to visit my house anymore, my Pastor said that she can´t listen to you anymore. Don´t come back.
I'm not going to go into detail with the other but this same result happened with 4 more people that were firmly preparing for baptism.
To tell you I was in the best state would be a huge lie. My comp and I were confused and more sad than anything else. We were working non stopped, teaching, planning, and showing our love for this people. To be realistic it felt like I got dumped 6 times this week hahaha.
Something Iv learned on the mission when the going get rough, put your head down and work. We started a fast and let the spirit guide us and we saw the miracle arrive!
This Sunday we had a bunch of people go to church and by themselves. that's the best investigator because they are showing they they really care. Then we found a family of 5 that loved our message, marked another day to visit and gave us a bucket of mango's.
Lastly we were dead tired, walking home to collapse on the bed when the Spirit spoke to me and said speak to those people that you just past. At first I was think, no I'm tried, don't have time and I just kept walking. But I heard that voice again. This time I finally did what the voice said know that denying that voice 3 time would be very dangers haaha. Another miracle, they said that they always wanted to speak to the missionaries but never had the courage to talk to us. Then they said that everyone talks really bad about us, but they didn´t understand when. We marked a day to talk more. the rest is history.
The mission isn´t only rainbows and sunshine, there is cloudy and cold day. But, if you always keep in mind that the sun is still shining behind those clouds and keep working, it is all going to work out.
I hope everyone is doing great in the cold. I got burn this week for the first time on the mission, things are heating up here in Palmas.
I miss you guys and pray for you often!!!

I don´t have a lot of time to talk this week because President is coming to Palmas today!
But this week was great. My comp was traveling a lot this week so I had the chance to take the reins again. It really was a great experience for me because I was able to try stuff for myself to see if they work or not. I´v learned missionary work isn´t about teaching lessons, its about teaching PEOPLE. Every person is different. They have different desires, likes, dislike, ect. So when teaching PEOPLE you need to get creative an adjust to them. You just need to find when part of the Gospel they need most in there life and then they will have that desire to follow.
This week were running from house to house visiting all the people we found the past two weeks It felt like this week passed like lightening. We didn´t even have time to think abut our legs hurting until we got home that night. Crazy how fast time passes when your trying to help others.
Another one of those crazy miracles that God gave us this week. A member gave us a person that she thought we should visit. Turns out she want nothing to do with us, that typical I have my church sorry. But... her step daughter was eavesdropping our lesson. And as we were leaving she confronted us wanted to know more. Lets just say the rest is history. She went to church(loved it), has a bunch of new friends, going to activities, and we marked a date with her!I love how the Lord works. Its always a surprise, you just have to be looking and listening to understand it. If we didn´t go to that house at that exact hour we would have never found her because that was her one day off. I´m so grateful for the miracle that the Lord has given me.
I can sincerely feel a huge change in my life because of the love he has given me. I just hope that I can repaid God for everything that he has given me by being faithful and bring people unto Christ.
Really short on time but this week was great. The baptisms should start arriving here in 2 weeks. We have 14 people with dates and majority of them are going strong. Thank you everyone for the emails and love. Im pray for you guys. Loving it down here in Brasil!!

Semana foi Chique de mais!!!
At the start of this week I was really nervous because my comp said that he would only be with me for 3 of the 7 days this week. And that I would have to stay with Elder Sanchez. This worried me because I would have to a be the senior while he was gone since Elder Sanchez has less time than me. But, it was actually one of the best weeks Iv had on the mission! I had to be the example and take responsibility of the work.
I want to start out by saying if your truly try to give it your all, God will bless you. sometimes in very strange ways that you would never expect. On Wednesday it was a hot sunny day without a cloud in the sky. Within 5 minutes clouds have moved it and it started pouring cats and dogs. Not wanted to get our bags soaked we started to look for a door to knock on. Immediately my eye caught this one door that was alittle farther down the street. Vamos lá! We took off sprinting and started knock on this door as we were getting soaked. A woman came to the door and let us in. Inside was a missionary gold mined. Uma Família. We taught them about the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ and invited them to Church. That following Sunday only 2 of the six came. But they loved it! and they said next time that everyone would come!! Crazy how sometimes God has to send a floor to help us find those elects. Were going back there this week and going to mark a date with all of them!
This week was really weird to say the least. I was thinking it was going to be one of the hardest and least productive weeks of the mission, by surprisingly it was the week where I had the highest numbers! With the help of the Lord we found 20 new investigators and had 8 people go to Church on such short notice. the best part of all is the Members of the Ward are really getting involved and helping out. They are befriending our investigators so they feel a home. I was so grateful for the help the Lord gave me this week and for the determination and confidence he gave me.
My comp will be away from the area this week again to so hopefully we are able to work just as hard and help as many people as we can come unto Cristo. The month of Feb we are fasting and praying that we can bring people to the waters of baptism. Can wait.
Hope everyone is enjoying the snow up north because I'm getting roasted down here but loving every second of it. Work hard, Play hard.
I'm so grateful for this opportunity I have to be serving the people of Brasil. I always keep thinking that they are serving me with all the things I'm learning through experiences with them. I'm loving my life and I hope that time can slow down because its passing way to fast.
